Communication & Storytelling – Kicking Off the Module

This Tuesday marked the beginning and conclusion of the Communication & Storytelling module, led by Mariano Furlani, a director and dramaturg with extensive experience in theatrical communication.

The session focused on the idea that effective communication goes beyond words — it involves presence, expression, and storytelling. We explored key principles such as voice control, rhythm, modulation, body language, and stage presence.

Through a combination of theory and practical exercises, the module highlighted how storytelling can strengthen clarity, engagement, and persuasion, while supporting participants in developing their own authentic communication style. It also provided tools to enhance communication skills, adapt messages to different audiences, and manage stage anxiety.
Mastering these techniques is essential for designers who need to present ideas effectively and build meaningful connections.
