Experimenting Service Evaluation

What is Service Evaluation? During the Pill, Experimenting Service Evaluation, Francesca Foglieni will introduce this topic as an emerging field of study for the Service Design discipline.

During the 3 day-module students will be presented with key concepts at the core of the evaluation practice, and with reflections on the role evaluation can have throughout the steps of the service design process. As follows they will be asked to experiment the evaluation of an existing service as a potential knowledge base for service redesign. The topic chosen for the experimentation is free-floating bike sharing. The experimentation will consist of designing an evaluation strategy for assessing the user experience of these services, collect data (on field), and finally elaborate evaluation results.

Students will finally be able to understand the meaning and the relevance of Service Evaluation through defining an evaluation strategy, and turning User Research into an Evaluative Research.
