Elena is a seasoned medical anthropologist who has had the privilege of conducting research in Italy, Brazil, and Switzerland. With a dynamic career spanning academia, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and the Public Health Service, Elena served as a consultant with the Piedmont Regional Tissue & Organ Procurement Coordination Agency, playing a key role in the regional implementation of Italy’s national “Choice for the Community” initiative. Currently, Elena holds the position of UX Research Lead at Experientia, a leading service design consultancy. With a rich background encompassing 10 years of diverse experience in the medical sector, she is responsible for designing Continuing Medical Education (ECM) courses focused on organ donation for healthcare professionals. Additionally, Elena serves as an Adjunct Professor in medical anthropology at the Faculty of Nursing Science at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and the European Institute of Design (IED). Beyond her professional commitments, Elena maintains a theoretical interest in healing, emotion, and subjectivity, reflecting her dedication to advancing knowledge in these critical areas
