Dr. Ralitsa Diana Debrah is a designer and educator with over a decade experience of consulting both locally and internationally. She is a lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, West Africa.  She serves as a learning experience designer at the eLearning Centre and Department of Communication Design, KNUST, Ghana.  She is a member/ facilitator for the e/merge Africa Network – CILT, CHED | University of Cape Town (UCT)  South Africa. She holds a PhD in the area of Design, Innovation, Sustainability and Informatics from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), South Africa.

She serves as a committee member and juror on several design organisations such as Open Design Afrika (ODA), DesignGhana, Pan Afrikan Design Institute (PADI); Afrikan Collaboration Network for Design Thinking (ACNDT) – UCT, Design Research Activity Workgroup networks (DRAWn) – CPUT, Type Directors Club (TDC), Cumulus Association, World Design Organization  (WDO), International Upcycling Research Network  and  Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability (DESIS) Network.

She is a co-founder and acts as the Technology and Innovation Specialist for Inclusive-Tech-Group (ITG) , a not-for-profit organisation in Ghana.  She  supports  WDO | Young Designers Circle (YDC)  initiatives and serves a coach to Young Designers across the world.

Her research interests include: Design, Service Design, Pluriversal Design, Decolonising Design and Education, Social Innovation, Sustainability, Human-Computer-Interaction and EdTech for Social Transformation within Transdisciplinary settings. She is a lifelong learner and a futurist. She loves People, Design, Technology and Research.
