Results of the Final Workshop with Tangity and Kinto
Yesterday was the last day of the workshop led by our premium partner Tangity – part of NTT DATA Design Network, along with Francesca Foglieni from the Master Board. The brief, provided by KINTO, revolved around the ideation and development of new solutions useful to expand the service offering of KINTO toward an increasingly sustainable mobility.
Students worked in four teams and faced the whole service design process, from early research to prototyping, coming out with four different service idea presented to the client. The solutions mainly answer two questions:
– How can KINTO turn existing users into sustainability-sensitive users through the interaction with the car dealer?
– How can KINTO support the creation of a local ecosystem aimed at promoting sustainable mobility?
Team 1 answered with KINTO Earn, a loyalty program that brings sustainable mobility to everyone aiming to create a seamless sustainable ecosystem with KINTO in the center to help people in their daily lives.
Team 2 proposed KINTO Hub, a service based on mobility hubs disseminated in inner and outer districts of the city, to offer KINTO members an inter-changing area where they’ll be able to find KINTO Share cars, on demand KINTO Join shuttles for companies, last-mile micro-mobility alternatives, and EV charging points.
Team 3 presented KINTO Young Go, a B2B2C mobility service focusing on AM(a) and AM(B) license holders leveraging on their safety by providing them with electric micro-cars, also scalable to staff members, educational institutions, and parents, to give them access to driving training.
Team 4 designed KINTO Peer, a peer to peer car sharing service that lets Toyota and Lexus owners easily rent out their cars and earn some extra money through a user-friendly mobile application as an integrator of KINTO Share.

Yesterday also marks the end of the didactic activities of the IX edition of the Master. It has been an intense path with theoretical lessons, pills, masterclasses, and workshops covering many different topics, methods, and tools related to the service design discipline. Our students are now ready to start the internship in the next few weeks, and to work on their individual projects for the final exam. Buona fortuna!
