Approaching Business Strategy & Planning, following Daniele Radici’s lead

After an initial foray into the Design-Driven Innovation module, we continue our discovery of Business and Management with Daniele Radici, who leads us through the Business Strategy & Planning module. For this first moment, we focus more on the theoretical part, and then, we will tackle a pill at a later stage, to put into practice what they learned.

The goal of the course is to develop viable, sustainable, and achievable service ideas. This course provides useful content to understand service-based business models and design a green-field simplified Business Plan. Students are experiencing a mixed format that intersperses theory sessions with workshops and exercises to apply tools and methods.

Students will acquire a business glossary and basic concepts related to business modeling and planning. This module will provide a general overview of widespread and innovative business smodels, focusing on services, and studying the relationship between business-models and business-plan elements. In particular, we will deepen some fundamental tools, including Business Model Canvas, SWOT Analysis, and Design Criteria Canvas. Finally, students will define the cost structure of a service-based company to create antifragile business models and reduce the risk.

Let the seed of business knowledge grow in our students, later, we will reap the fruits.
