Narrating new stories, with Lucca Comics & Games as new partner
We are proud to officially communicate a new partnership between Lucca Comics & Games (@luccacomicsandgames) and the Specializing Master in Service Design by POLI.design – Politecnico di Milano.
Lucca Comics & Games is a multidisciplinary festival that can be compared to a ship exploring contemporary languages’ convergence. Comics, gaming, videogames, animation, TV series, and illustration create a galaxy that LC&G turns in every dimension, through events, projects, educational and participation initiatives, all year long.
Named by Variety “The western world’s biggest geek meet”, Lucca Comics & Games puts its foundations into 5 pillars, its core values: community, inclusion, discovery, respect, and gratitude, celebrating pop culture since 1966. Also, it aims to enhance the monumental context and foster the development of the economic fabric of the city of Lucca, promoting its image worldwide.
Lucca Comics & Games is organized and promoted by Lucca Crea Srl, which was born in 2015 from the merger of Lucca Comics & Games and Lucca Polo Fiere e Congressi. It collaborates with dozens of institutions, associations, cultural events, and trade fairs all over the world showing a peculiar approach and well-marked operational foundations that make up the DNA of ‘Crea-Attività’: ideas and productions of a unique network, of versatile professionals and expert consultants.
“Working on service design together with a partner like POLI.Design is an incitement and a great source of enrichment for us, the people of Lucca Comics & Games. We love challenges and creative processes, therefore being able to work on a new project, with a different approach for a common goal community-oriented, makes this experience even more interesting”. With these words, Emanuele Vietina, General Director of Lucca Crea and Director of Lucca Comics & Games, shapes a strategic contribution that will result in a two-week workshop within the Master’s didactic activities.
